Most startling/scariest moment

The first time I was going through the tunnels, battling hunters, low on health & ammo, I grab a knife, cut cobwebs, then go through the door. I come face to face with the huge boss spider and just about soil myself! I of course die immediately.

Even when I play the game today, knowing that battle is coming, I still flinch a little.

If I remember correctly it was THE SNAKE that appeared.

In mine it was a big spider. Unless were talking about different areas???

The area I'm refering to you used the hexagonal crank and eventually find Doom Book 2.

Zombie in the closet, spiders, sharks and snake.

I really liked when you saw the predator's views heading in for the hopeful kill. The shark's and hunter's (???) cutscenes had me thinking, dear Lord what am I facing next?

Yeah I remember seeing that scene with the hunter moving fast through the courtyard, shed and entering the mansion for the kill in the original. I wonder where it came from anyway?

One time in the remake while walking slowly on the front mansion's balcony I saw a hunter just standing there and looking away as I just walked past it without it noticing me. Once I got near the silver door I heard a loud shriek and hearing it coming fast with loud tapping sounds and coming to kill me. I just blew it away with a magnum or sometimes with a boomstick when it tries to jump attack me with it's sharp claws lol!
